1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Keep My Receipts mobile application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Keep My Receipts is a mobile application that allows users to capture, store, organize, and manage digital copies of receipts. The Service uses optical character recognition (OCR) technology to extract information from receipt images.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

4. User Content

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all receipt images and data you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and process your receipt images
• Use OCR and AI technology to extract information
• Display Your Content back to you within the Service
• Back up and maintain Your Content for service operation

4.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for Your Content and agree not to upload:

• Illegal, fraudulent, or misleading content
• Content that infringes others' intellectual property rights
• Content containing viruses or malicious code
• Personal information of others without consent

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated systems to access the Service (bots, scrapers)
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Remove or modify any copyright or proprietary notices
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, functionality, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Keep My Receipts and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services (such as OCR providers, cloud storage, and analytics). Your use of these third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Data Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy in OCR and data extraction, the Service may not always correctly extract information from receipts. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of extracted data. We are not liable for errors or omissions in extracted information.

9. Fees and Payment

9.1 Free and Paid Features

The Service may offer both free and paid features. Pricing for paid features will be clearly disclosed in the app. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

9.2 Subscription Terms

If you purchase a subscription:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You will be charged through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account
• Manage subscriptions through your device's app store settings

10. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting the app and contacting us to request account deletion.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, we will delete Your Content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. You should export your data before terminating your account.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or quality of extracted data

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KEEP MY RECEIPTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses
• Damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Errors or inaccuracies in extracted receipt information

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Keep My Receipts and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your Content

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first through the support channels provided in the app to attempt to resolve it informally.

15.2 Arbitration

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration will be conducted in English, and the arbitrator's decision will be final and binding.

15.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us only on an individual basis and waive any right to bring claims as part of a class action or representative proceeding.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles.

17. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the modified Terms.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Keep My Receipts regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
